From the 1970s through the early 2000s, Marshalltown built a generation of leaders through community, athletics, and mentorship. Those coaches, parents, and volunteers invested in us before we even knew it.
Today, many of those same facilities haven't seen significant reinvestment in decades. Friends of Marshalltown are stepping up to change that — and inviting the entire community to join them.

With strategic reinvestment, Marshalltown's existing assets can become a unified youth sports destination that serves families, athletes, and the community for generations.

Since work began in Summer 2025, Marshalltown Little League has been making steady, visible progress on a multi-phase renovation of the South 12th Street complex — funded by community donations, local business generosity, and hundreds of hours of volunteer labor.

Join the Founding Team
TopNotch and Hogeland Auto Plaza donated heavy equipment. Schumacher Construction, Splinter Construction, Vitek Construction, and Con-Struct Inc donated labor. E & E Concrete and El Torro Construction completed concrete work. New bleachers and dugout benches were manufactured locally at American Aluminum & Seating with the help of Marshalltown students.Central Iowa Machine Shop, Hansen Electric, Eric Tuttle Plumbing, AB Plumbing, Clapsaddle Garber Associates, and Fencing Solutions all contributed. This complex was built by Marshalltown, for Marshalltown.

Dugout roofs completely torn off and rebuilt by volunteers
Field grading and drainage improvements — 4 fields renovated and ready for 2026
New bleachers and dugout benches — sourced from local manufacturer American Aluminum Seating Inc., installed by community volunteers including kids
New black fence lines installed throughout the complex
Restroom improvements completed
Community Built This
Volunteers — including kids — worked nights and weekends to tear off rotted dugout roofs, dig holes for 20-foot foul poles, and install bleachers and benches sourced from local manufacturer American Aluminum Seating Inc. Every improvement was built by the community, for the community.
The Bigger Vision
More than a field renovation
The board believes better facilities will do more than improve baseball. They'll increase youth participation, create safer and more enjoyable experiences for players and families, and expand local recreational and travel baseball opportunities — so families no longer have to leave Marshalltown to compete.
The board also hopes the renovated complex can become part of Marshalltown's broader sports facilities strategy currently being studied for the community.
